I want party chat put back in. I pay for the service of xbox live. How can you take away something that I pay for. I pay $50 soon to be $60 by the time this game will be out. How can you take away a servide that I pay for as IW did. That is not right to the consumor. If you are worried about people cheating then make 2 playlists for the modes that you are not planning on having party chat in. Like have 2 search and Destroy playlist one that is for Game chat ONLY and one that is game chat or party chat which ever you choose.

Now in the spirit of good sportsmanship, I believe it is important to make these classes common knowledge so that we all will be on equal footing. If you use either of these two classes, you will do well, I garuntee it.
As we all know Black Ops is currently a bit broken thanks to two overpowered weapons that are currently the best in the game. These weapons are the AK74 and the FA-MAS. What makes them so good you ask? That it a good question. The answer is this, they each have an advantage from another weapon category. The FA-MAS has an SMG's high fire rate(even high than most SMGs, with Rapid Fire equipped) while the AK74 has an Assault Rifle's range. Couple both these extra advantages with low recoil and high damage, and it's easy to see why these weapons are currently the two best weapons in the game and in dire need of re-balancing.
Class 1 - The Taipan (Or "Noobin' it up")
Primary: AK-74U with Dual Mags.
Secondary: CZ75 with Extended Mags
Perk 1: Hardline (Getting Killstreaks faster is a big advantage)
Perk 2: Slieght of Hand (After reload and quick ADS are huge advantages)
Perk 3: Hacker (Avoid deaths from Claymores and be alerted to possile campers)
Lethal: Frag Grenade (An important precise anti-camper tool)

Consistently Red Barring

ANYWAYS, It seems that one day I can play Blops fine and then the very next day (sometimes not even then, just a few hours later) I red bar and stay red bar no matter who is host.
Any suggestions to fix?
I've cleared system cache, formatted my connection (wireless, btw. picks up 2/3 bar signal from router), reset my router, reset my modem..I'm at a loss for what to try next.

are FPS freeks "cheap"
I got some today, started using them, and I love them. They help a lot, I don't even know how, but they do!
But a thought occurs, I have a definite advantage that others don't, so does that make them a "cheap" way of getting "good"?
Regardless of the conclusion we come to, I won't stop using them, I like going 41-3 :P
And in case you don't know what I'm talking about, They're a extension to the analog stick. Supposedly it makes you more accurate. they're used quite a lot in tournaments

Bullet registration/overpowered weapons(PLEASE POST)
1.)Me and most of my friends on xbox live play search and destroy on a daily basis and nothing is more ANNOYING than only two of my bullets registering when it is very obvious that i put alot more into the guy. To and moderator you need to tell you development team that they need to fix the bullet registration because call of duty 4,WAW, and MW2 had better bullet registration than black ops.
2.) Some guns are very over powered mainly the FMAS and the AK74u. i will admit other guns are powerful but thease are rediculous especcialy the fmas because all people do is run around and spray a few bullets into me and with the fmas fire rate that is easy to do i get killed and in s&d this is annoying to the max. as far as the ak74u goes i dont understand how its a sub machine gun because it it not only pin point accurate with no recoil at all but it is just as powerful as an assult rifle.
-Treyarch i belive you have done a good job with this game but if you would fix thease weapons then you could improve it 10x. anyone else that agrees please post on this thread.

Most offensive player's emblem ever...
Just played a guy with the most offensive player's emblem ever. Did it offend me? Not the emblem but the arrogance of someone thinking that they can get away with such behavior. It was of a female with her legs spread with her vagina covered with semen. It wasn't just his emblem, he also had a gold gun at prestige 3. I know I cannot be the only player that has reported this guy for his emblem alone. Guess reporting is worthless.

The Mythical Lag Switch
OK....I am a nooby, I am an old nooby. I am a veteran of the first Gulf War and my body is deteriorating from something I got from there. Thats why I play this game. It's fair enough to call it a game, that's fine.
Using some self introspect, I think I am of average to just above average intelect. I have played and I have watched and I have researched. I absolutely hate cheating! And there is a lot! However, it's hard to prove. Aimbots? Not likely. Boosting? I've seen it as it is the most obvious. But lag switching? What a pathetic tool for non winners and what a pathetic tool who uses it.
Why does it chap my a$$ so? Hmmm. I spend $400 on the console, $60 for the game,and then something wonderful happened that made the lag switchers wayyy more obvious. I upgraded my internet to FOIS. Oh yes!
Now lag switching is still hard to prove, but it is cheating and I, myself, not having anymore of life than I have, am going to attack it. If I suspect it, I watch the theater I have found a few that are about 95% sure are lag switching. To me that is enough to have the right people look at it.
The right people? Oh no, TreArch is not the right people. They are making money hand over fist with this franchise and could care less. Hence not providing dedicated servers that would stop all of this crap. So the right people would be Microsoft themselves. That's right, you get caught lag switching in ANY game on the XBox platform and your console ID and account gets banned. (MS TOS)
I'm fed up! I do like the game and I enjoy playing but I'm sick of the low self esteem individuals cheating so the can call themselves "BEAST."
By the way I suck at this game but still like playing it. So all the arseholes that want to come out and flame that is fine I don't care!

Black ops is amazing. QOS people QOS
So i took mw3 back because it is horrible. Now that i have black ops again i want to tell everyone how to reduce their lag. It's called qos and if your router supports it well good for you. What qos does is put more bandwidth into a device you have on your network. So either you computer, xbox or something else. I chose my xbox mac address and put the qos to medium. I noticed that even when i am a 3 bar it feels like a 4 bar most of the time. It helped me out a ton. So run along people and go try it. Also people complaining about ghost pro are idiots. Waaaaaaaa! i couldn't see him on the radar and he ruined my 4 kill streak! hahaha learn how to play without watching a red dot..wow.

Confederate Flag emblem okay?
Can I get a straight answer from someone who actually knows and not the smart ass remarks every thread gets?
Will a confederate flag emblem get you banned? I don't see how since we have one flying over our state capitol. I like them, I have one on my pickup, and it is an Icon symbol in the south. And no, I am not the least bit a bigot. I love Clarence Thomas in the Supreme Court and one of my best friends in the army was an African American, and some of our good friends at church are African American. I realize it does not represent racism, but I don't want some New York City boy aged 22 working for Xbox live or wherever banning me because he doesn't understand it.
With all the sexual graphic emblems out there that are allowed, this should be a no brainer.

New HD tv 32 inch sensitivity problem
I used to have 18 inch Tv.
I just got a new TV and the past 5 hours I've been trying to get back into CoD.
With this new TV the sensitivity is extremely sensitive. I have tried nearly every combination of settings.
I have changed the safe area of the screen, no prevail.
I have changed the display modes via Xbox dashboard and tried both "Normal" and Widescreen.
I have tried all sensitivities 1-10 now.
It's not that the sensitivity is too fast or too slow, it's just that once I invest in locking onto a target, I can barely move the sight.
I aim and I zoom the the right of an enemy, the enemy will obviously be moving around and as I try to shoot in his direction it's nearly impossible due to the moving time after investing in the first sight.
I aim and zoom to the center of an enemy and get a hitmarker, then the character moves and because of the abnormal speed of my aim down sight I fail to hit him again.
My only option is to zig zag my shot and hope I get a kill.
The tv is a 32" LED.
Please help me, I've tried almost everything. Please if there is anything you know, help thanks.

Chopper Gunner Glitch
I was recently playing a match in Hotel in which I got a 9 killstreak to call out my Chopper Gunner. I was waiting until one of my teammates' Chopper Gunners to finish so I could call mine in. Near the end of his run, the Chopper Gunner began to lag really badly on the minimap. When I called mine in, everything was upside down, and then the Chopper Gunner glitched under the map. I didn't get a single freaking kill with it because of that. Has this happened to anyone else?! If so, Treyarch needs to patch this up soon. I work hard for those damn killstreaks! ![]()

i dont have access to xbox live with my satelite internet because of the icmp, so i really want to get the patch that makes combat training available in offline multiplayer. i read i can download it off the internet and transfer it to my xbox, but i cant find the patch available for download anywhere on the web.... please help!!!

I have heard there are many ways to get paid to play this game.....i would love to get paid to play this game and i do believe i am difinatly good enough to do so...so can anyone help me figure out how you can? I know about tournaments and stuff but i thought there were other ways....

I love when people msg me crying because i shut them down.
Well, Today I was playing ground war... Seen a typical camper not going for flags... trying to get killstreaks going... So i put on my running shoes (marathon pro, lightweight, and ak74u rapid fire) went and killed him right as he got his 9th kill... took his chopper gunner down after two or three kills... made it my mission to follow him around and kill him....his highest killstreak after the chopper i took down was care package... I find it really annoying when these people go into the objective based games and play tdm... They dont care about winning the match...just there own personal stats... the guy had 0 captures... you spawn near a flag in the begining of the match... so obviously he didnt care about winning the match.....which really just ruins it for the rest of your team.... I for one dont care about my personal stats... my KD is 1.66 - If I cared about it I could be at atleast 3.0 or higher... ill go into free-for-alls and do tomahawk only and still come in top 3... KD means nothing to me... I know im better than 90% of the people who play the game......but its just a game kids...and i play it for fun....
So anyway, This guy sent me a message after the game.... "your KD is 1 and your fav gun is the ak74u? your good...." obvious sarcasm...So i sent him a message saying
"job applications dont ask for your COD stats...and
when a girl asks for your number shes not talking about your kd ratio..."
If this guy had like 3 or 4 flags captured... even 2... i probably wouldnt of seeked him out and killed him... but when i look at the score and see 7 and 0 , no captures... its obvious what hes doing... the common excuse for people who do this is "if i get the killstreaks it makes it easier for my team to capture flags" well considering more than half the people now a days rock ghost pro... and shoot down choppers almost right away... its not doing much for your team.
This is the reason COD gets so much negative feedback..
I love the game, but the community is filled with kids that pride themselves on there personal stats... If this sounds like you then you should get a life and stop caring so much about a game.

OPEN TRAY ERROR: Black Ops' fault?
I recently went through 3 Xbox 360's in 3 months. THREE!. All ending with the same problem. It wont read the game! (as well as other games when tried) I insert the disc, I hear it trying to read the disc by the sound of spinning, but then it goes quiet with the "Open Tray" title appearing where the game title would be. I was wondering if anyone else has gone through the same thing? And if they are suspicious of Black Ops being the culprit. (I have only played Black Ops since release)
NOW, I know what you'll say "DONT BLAME THE GAME!", "YOU PROBABLY JUST SUCK AT BLACK OPS!", "STOP BASHING THE GAME!" and so on and so on.
But, As a fan of the series and game, and considering this is a forum to discuss things involving the game, I do have a suspicion. Just a suspicion.
Also, 2 other notes:
1) When booting up my current Xbox (which is a Slim 250GB) from not playing it for a few hours to a day, It will sometimes read the game fine with a "CalI of Duty: Black Ops" title, But after playing for maybe 2, or 3 online matches, a message will pop up saying "The disc is scratched or dirty" and will take me to the dashboard where an "Open Tray" title appears instead of the game title. Now when this happens, I notice the Slim is really warm, I would even say hot to the touch. Could this be a heat problem? and..
2) When trying to install the game on my Xbox, it goes to about 65% and proceeds with a "Can't read disc, It is scratched or dirty" and stops installation completely. The game is in great condition and upon close inspection there are NO scratches or smudges.
I've went through 2 Xboxs' that dont work now, and the problem just popped up today on my current system since Black Ops' release! Also, the Xbox system I had (which was a 60 GB white one) worked perfectly fine for 1 and a half years before playing Black Ops. Strange? Coincidence? Odd?..
