Hey there, well I've had an hd pvr for a little while now, and I was using it for the ps3, (Which i play on standard cables with) and it was fine more or less, but whenever I play with the component cables plugged in which require it to work, I get an input lag of about half a second, which doesn't seem like much but it really is in these kind of games. The tv I play on with standard is an old tube tv and doesn't have component cable input (red,green,blue), but my hd tv does and I also play my xbox 360 on it. I bought my xbox used and it only runs on component, it doesn't have an input or jack for an hdmi cable or standard, so that may be the cause of why I don't like playing on it as much because their was some delay but I didn't notice it before. Does anyone know if there is a solution to my component cable lag? I know this mostly has to do with how the tv is presenting the picture, but I can play with an hdmi cable on my ps3 and it plays just fine, it is only component, and switching between the two tvs to get theatre mode games is a pain. I also want to record live games and game winning kills...etc. So if anyone has any knowledge of this or has experienced this before, any help ould be appreciated. I've heard some tv's have a "game mode" which sometimes helps but mine does not.
