I am quite disappointed with Black Ops -- I mean, LAG Ops.
I have the highest internet speed available in my State (Comcast Cable Broadband) and I've used brand new controllers, yet, nearly every MP match I play is plagued with LAG, SLUGGISH/DELAYED REACTIONS, POOR HIT DETECTION, BROKEN MELLES, A SPRINT THAT LASTS ONLY 3 STEPS.
It seems that nothing works as it should in MP.
1:Sprinting:
From the start of a match my team starts sprinting at the same time. Yet, MY sprint only lasts around 3-4 steps and is noticeably slower than everyone elses. They leave me in the dust! Additionally, enemies are able to easily chase me down. And forget about me attempting to sprint across large areas to travel around the maps!
2: Delayed response
I've been told that there is normally a slight delay between sprinting and firing your weapon (or melee). However, I see other players sprint then fire without even missing a beat. How is THAT? Also, even when I do not sprint, i ALWAYS experience a 1-2 second delay from the time I pull my trigger til the time the weapon starts firing (leaving me DEAD 75% of the time). I experience the same delayed response when meleeing. I push B [Xbox360] and then 1,2 seconds later and 'Oh THERE you are, Melee! Wow, too late cuz now Im dead..... Thanks!" It's usually only after I hit melee 2-3 times that it actually registers on the enemy that he's been shanked. There should be NO delay in any of these areas.
Also, I personally feel that NOT being allowed to reload weapons WHILE sprinting is just plain retarded. I should be able to sprint, AND THEN fire. Currently, while sprinting, I spot an enemy, stop/pull trigger, and nothing..... Im forced to wait 1-2 seconds [delay] before bullets finally start coming out of the gun. THAT shouldnt happen. If Im sprinting, When I pull the trigger, it should immediately stop sprinting and start firing. That 1-2 second delay makes a big difference when ur trying to kill and not be killed.
3: LAAAAAAAAG/Hit Detection
One second there is no one in front of me, then, magically, there is an enemy RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME shooting me!
Or, i see an enemy on one corner of the screen, then he disappears and reappears on the other side of my screen. Yeah, LAG.
Or, I see an enemy facing some other direction, I start firing at (and YES, HITTING) him but he doesnt die. I empty an entire magazine into him. Yet, he just keeps going, then, he turns and fires like two shots at me and Im dead! Thus, pissing me the hell off -- as you can imagine.
Enemies run at me while I'm shooting them in their face and their chest, yet they just keep running straight at me and Knife me! Uh, hello Treyarch, not sure if you're aware of this: BULLETS ARE SUPPOSED TO KILL PEOPLE. But thanks to your lagginess, a enemy can seem to be bulletproof. Whereas, on many killcams, I see people missing nearly every shot and yet they STILL get awarded a kill.
Well, these are some of the MAJOR issues in Lag Ops. If I notice anymore I'll add them to this thread.
The point: LAG Ops has some serious flaws that I'm hoping you [Treyarch] will actually fix -- and SOON!
