Call of Duty needs to implement some sort of system where players who consistently go negative aren't allowed to single handedly lose the game for their whole team.
I suggest a respawn delay that stacks every time you die in a row without getting a kill. it would revert to normal as soon as you get a kill. Maybe add 3-5 seconds per death without getting a kill. (This would change depending on the game type) That way even if someone is boosting in game they can't do it nearly as efficiently as in the past. If someone goes -10 death without a kill he must wait 30-50 seconds and allow his team to have a chance without his constant deaths ruining it for the other 5 players.
I can't always play with a full party and even when I have a team of 5 good players, there is inevitably 1 player who goes 3-32 or something like that in a game and we lose because of him.
I played three games in a row tonight where ONE player (different players in different lobbies) lost the game for his whole team. He gave the enemy team constant napalms and blackbirds and obviously wasn't killing anyone so the enemy team had a tactical advantage.
Have you ever had a TDM where and you team does very well but the one random goes -20/30 and loses the game for the rest of his team? Situations like these are what the respawn delay are designed for.
Halo has a system where if you back out of lobbies consistently you can't join any games for a random amount of time. This functions on the same level. You are doing your team harm by backing out and suffer because of it. Same principle it's just in game.
It would be frustrating to the people it happens to but beneficial to the majority of other players.
This is a major flaw that no one talks about. It seems like such an easy fix that would balance the game in a positive way.
If all you're going to do is flame me about how I think I'm elitist for this, you will be ignored but by all means flame away.
Thoughts?
