Kill Death Ratio means something. Everyone has their own views of its importance though. To be honest, the only real way you can find out if someones KD actually means anything, is depending on the gametypes they play. If they have a lot more hours played in objective game modes like DOM, DEMO, CTF, etc, in comparison to other game modes like TDM, SND, or FFA, their K/D will probably be a bit lower if they actually work towards the objectives to help the team rather then just slay. However, if players play literally only TDM, SND, or FFA, KD means a lot imo. Honestly, If I join a game of TDM players who all have a k/d below 1.00, and everyone on the other team has a kd of 1.3+, Im pretty confident we will lose no matter how much I carry my team. However, If its a gametype with an objective, I typically don't worry about it too much, as for kills don't mean as much as they do in Slaying Gametypes.
So, if you really want to know if your K/D is good or not, think about what gametypes you play. Personally, I think that players with a 1.5+ can be really good players no matter what gametype they play, and rarely you can find good players who have a little lower.
Also, just a side note, People who Dashboard to sustain a high K/D or W/L ratio are douche bags. Honestly, if I see anyone with a 3.5+ KD I know that they really aren't that great and look forward to making them dashboard by the end of the game. That K/D resembles only their best games that they have played, and if everyone dashboarded, everyone SHOULD have 3.5 KD's or better or your just straight up garbage. Just saying.
So. Hope this helped. Feel free to troll, as I don't take these forums seriously haha
also, for anyone who cares, my K/D is 2.10 and I play more than 2/3 of my time on COD in SND.
