I just got a Tritton AXPro headset and was wondering how to set it up to its most effective settings for black ops. By that, I mean how do I set up both the in-game audio options and the headset settings? I'm sure some of you have some. A long time ago I had a Tritton AX360 headset, which was great until it broke, and then I got a pair of Astro A40s and they were great until they broke. (I went about 1 1/2 years without using a headset.) With the AXPros I got last night, they either aren't as good as Astros or I have something set up wrong.
When I used to use a headset in CoD4 I could hear footsteps ALL the time. In black ops (with AXPros), I almost never hear footsteps, even when my opponents don't use ninja. It also seems like Black ops has too much background noise to the point where it's almost pointless to have a headset. And also when I shoot or when I play search and use Hacker instead of ninja, all I can hear is myself and my footsteps. I don't remember this being a problem.
Any help is appreciated
