I usually have b/w 2000 and 2300kbps of bandwidth for Blops. They only thing using bandwidth during gameplay is my XBox, yet I 3-bar in damn near every game. Backing out to search for a new lobby doesnt seem to help.
In a twitch shooter like COD, being a split second behind what's going on in real-time leads to those unavoidable and frustrating deaths. The ones where you're shooting on your screen, but on the killcam you look like a total scrub that just wants to eat lead.
I have Charter Comm as my ISP (the only ISP in my area that offers connections over 8/1) and a 25/3 connection. My basic modem bottlenecks my connection @ 30 downstream and 10 upstream, but since Im not paying for anything above those numbers, I wonder if that affects my bandwidth flow in any way.
Would buying a DOCSIS 3.0 modem improve my bandwidth?
If not, what are some other steps that can be taken to improve my bandwidth?
Even with the crappy online community, BLOPS is my fav COD of all-time. I'd just like to do something to improve my experience. Taking deaths when I have done more than enough to get the kill (on my screen) has grown quite tiresome.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
