Okay, I was looking through this forum and I saw a few posts on people wanting bullet drop/drift/coriolis effect in the game. Thats all well and good.... except when "pro gamers" start saying that the bullets are dropping after they travel 50 meters....... ![]()
Here's a shocker for you guys: If you shoot an M16 rifle, that fires the 5.56x45 cartridge, at a range of 13 meters, it will hit the same point at 300 meters. Why? Because the bullet doesn't begin its drop until approximately 150 meters. Is it different with different caliber weapons? Yes. Would you be able to observe bullet drop on CoD maps? If you were far enough away from your target, yes. With assault rifles, light machine guns and sniper rifles, you don't really have to worry about bullet drop until you exceed 125-150 meters. With a submachine gun, around 75 meters is when you would start to see a difference, same with your pistols. Shotguns........ thats pretty self explanatory.
As for the Coriolis Effect... why do people think it makes a noticeable difference everywhere?! You don't really see it until you exceed 600 meters.
Long Story Short
Bullet drop in game would be nice but most likely will not be implemented.
Coriolis Effect doesn't do much until you are at extended ranges.
