Just finished a game of demolition - sure a enough I was in a team of randoms (all prestige 2 or lower) against a party.
And as usual i was the only one sporting a microphone. Needless to say that we did get a serious beating. Even with randoms using microphones we might get beaten but at least we would have had a fighting chance.
I think whoever will develop the next COD or whatever multiplayer FPS, should implement a mandatory headset use. The game can detect whether you plugged in a mike. So no mike, means no play.
You should still be able to mute other players (perhaps set it as an option - mute all players by default), but I believe by forcing everybody to have a microphone, more people might use it to convey important tactical information.
Nowaday people run around like headsetless chickens and half of the lost matches could have been turned around if people communicated.
