This is stupid, Arguing between ourselves is both counter productive and is making all of us hc fans look like spoilt brats.
Yes we get it the CTF and HQ fans aren't happy, neither were the HC fans who wanted more game modes, both sides have a point, the problem is what to do about it in a constructive mature way that will fix it so EVERYONE is happy or at the very least the MAJORITY are happy, as somewhere along the way its plainly obvious that someone wont be.
Now before I go any further here is a link to the discussion that took place with Vahn over the new playlists, I suggest everyone who hasn't reads it and takes note of the limitations and reasons certian options were NOT available. As to be frankly honest alot of the points being raised by the Hc/Ctf fans were discussed.
Now as things stand there has been a few reasonable compromises suggested that for the most part have been ignored. The important word here is compromise , you may not like this word and want to stamp your feet and spit the dummy but that is the only viable solution, one where fans of any mode get an EQUAL chance to play that mode in whatever frame work is agreed apon.
The irony is the two groups who are now arguing are both Hc fans, contrary to what the "trolls" may be spinning MHCGM as, we have members who represent large clans, communities and popular Cod sites as well as representatives from both consoles and the pc player base.We managed to organise a grass roots campaign that got the attention of Treyarch enough for them to take us seriously and work with us. Instead of fighting with us and us you surely it makes more sense to utilize the the fact MHCGM works as a group. Our aim has always been to represent and advocate for the hc fans, getting more game modes in blackops was always going to be our first step, our next main aim is to make sure our voices are heard before the next cod game is released to ensure that unlike blackops and to some extent mw2 that it ships with a decent amount of content for the HC fans. (Just remember when black ops shipped it didnt even have CTF and HQ these were later additions to the game)
So here is an open invitation right here to all of you CTF and HQ fans instead of working against us and us against you which as I said is counter productive and doing nothing more than causing the forum to fill up with repeat posts and making the poor mods work over time. work WITH US.
Draw a line under everything and from this point on show a united HC front that encompasses EVERYONE. This is the ONLY way we are likely to get a solution instigated into the game that works as a "doable" compromise for everyone.
So with that in mind and hopefully with most of you seeing the sense in a combined effort, and having read the limitations we have to work with -that basically being we have two playlists to fiddle with . There is no point continually suggesting stuff outside this framework, treyarch made it clear, and have explained why we cant grab a playlist from core and explained why it had to be CTF and HQ got moved (they were the LEAST played of the five hc playlists)
Everyone is in agreement that the CTF timer needs to be changed back to 10 mins. So thats fine
There needs to be more HC themed contracts or the contracts work for both core and hc.
Suggestions of a workable compromise
I have read so far (and bear in mind these are suggestions as at this stage we do not know if they are feasible or can be recoded as such without asking treyarch, nor for that matter would they even consider doing it as the reasoning behind moving both ctf and hq were given. But expereince has shown us that when you ask the developer for something suggesting a way to make it work really helps and gets alot better response than just complaining without offering something constructive as a solution
1) The voting system is changed to how it used to be in the new playlists (it was changed to stop nuketown being constantly voted for) imo this one is the one i doubt is now feasible but .
2) Dom is removed from flags to bombs and replaces S&D, so you would have CTF and HQ in one playlist each equally weighted 50/50 and Bombs then contains Dom/Demo and Sab each with a 33% wieght
3) Either CTF or HQ gets its own playlist again and the other mode stays in flags, from where im sitting it would be CTF that got its playlist back as that seems to be the most popular out of the two that were moved.
4) People just accept this is how it is now, as its still possible to play all the modes without too much hassle bar a slight inconvenience and a resent of change.
If anyone else has a suggestion they think is possible please fell free to add it and i'll update this pots. also as I stated any of the new members of this forum who want to represent the HQ and CTF fans you are more than welcome to join in with MHCGM we have always maintain we want MHCGM to a be voice for ALL hc players not just one particular game mode fan.
Finally I am truly sorry some of you felt you were excluded from the discussion for whatever reasons, now you guys are here and actively participating on the forums you have a chance to voice and discuss you opinions as well. But what I will say is this.. MHCGM is working for whats best for the ENTIRE HC community overall not just one part of it. As much as some people think they have a sense of entitlement we don't all we have what the developers give us, any changes suggested or added to a game after launch might come from the community or an organisation (MLG for example) but it doesn't how good an idea is the developers of a game will not add it if they do not think that ultimately it will make the game better or fairer or more enjoyable. Where you may feel your voices were not heard before believe me when I say nothing would be added or removed or changed in this game or any other if the Developers hadn't considered what was best overall for everyone in their opinion. As stated with the reasoning behind the moving of ctf and hq it was done as they felt that the two playlists were the least used and the change would effect the least people. we we think of our own numbers and the numbers in our playlist choices they think in terms of the millions who play this game everyday the majority of those never come on the forums use twitter or facebook.
