Call Of Duty: Based On Skill Or Your Connection?

Hi Guys,

I've been thinking about this lately and wondering if Call of Duty is now based on how good your connection vs. the skill you have against others in a FPS.

For Example:

Hosting or Four Bar Connection
- I'm killing other players quickly without the need for using a full clip to kill players
- Not as many hitmarkers to shoot a player
- Bullets are registering into enemy players without any problems.
- I seem to be getting more higher killstreaks without any problems
- K/D ratio is high and this is playing the objective in games modes like domination

3 Bar Connection
'
- Killing enemy players sometimes a whole clip (if not, less than a full clip)
- More hitmarkers just to shoot a player
- Bullets aren't registering into the enemy player (seem to be going through the player)
- I aim, shoot and die but in the killcam, I never aimed and I didn't fire a bullet
- The host or player with a four bar connection seems to see me before I see them considering that they have a better connection.
- I'm being knifed at longer distances
- K/D ratio can be negative from time to time.

2 Bar Connection
- I've been on a 2 bar connection once and this is what happened:

When I watch Machinima Directors, I was like "WOW...these guys must be pretty talented gamers" but looking at the score screen, they have a constant 4 bar connection. So, what would their scores be like if they were on a 3 bar or worse, a 2 bar connection.

On MW2, I had a bad connection (mostly 2 bars) and my overall K/D ratio was negative but ever since the connection was upgraded in my area, I've been hosting and posting decent scores. Also my overall K/D ratio is positive.

Looking forward to hearing some opinions from you guys.

Cheers
